Norfolk Lodge once again participated in the Needham Exchange Club Independence Day parade and won the coveted Independence Trophy.  A special THANK YOU to Bro. Edward Ambuter and . Bro. Ethan Gilson for designing and putting together the float.  Brothers Ted McIntosh,  Craig Austin and Bob Kispert for dressing up in costume and of course to our very own DDGM, Right Worshipful Ian C. Mackenzie for leading the float along the parade route. 

Norfolk Lodge is proud to announce that they have selected two recipients of a $1,250 scholarship for college.   Any high school seniors applying to college, who are Needham High School students, residents of Needham, or are related to members of Norfolk Lodge A.F. & A.M., are eligible for Norfolk Lodge Scholarships.  This year the recipients are Maxwell Suprenant a graduate of Saint Sebastian's School in Needham and Madison Jackson a graduate of Needham High School.  We wish you both the best in your future studies and trust that you will continue the excellence you have accomplished thus far.

Norfolk Lodge has established a new scholarship for Needham Students who are heading off to college next year.  For more information please see the information below.

All high school seniors applying to college, who are Needham High School students, residents of Needham, or are related to members of Norfolk Lodge A.F. & A.M., are eligible for Norfolk Lodge Scholarships. This year, Norfolk Lodge will be granting two $1,250 scholarships.

All Needham High School students must submit completed applications to the Guidance Department prior to Friday, May 13th, 2022.

All other eligible applicants must submit applications, postmarked no later than Friday, May 13th, 2022, to:

The form must be completed in full and accompanied by a transcript and letter of recommendation to be considered a valid application. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.

All information supplied on this form will be kept strictly confidential. Only one application need be submitted to be eligible for consideration for all scholarships available through Norfolk Lodge.

Monetary awards will be made directly to scholarship recipients upon the presentation of a copy of the tuition bill for the recipient’s first semester of college. It will be the recipient’s responsibility to submit the bill to Norfolk Lodge.

Norfolk Lodge would like to thank all of our customers and the Town of Needham for another successful Christmas Tree Sale.  Thanks to the support of the Town we were able to raise money to support local Charities such as the Community Council, Walker School, and Youth Programs in the area.  

This year we saw a lot of new people come to the Lot for the first time.  This enabled us to sell out of trees in records time, as well as make it our most successful year ever.  We hope that you will continue to support this in the future, and we look forward to seeing you next year.

This month the Norfolk Lodge Golf Team played a round of golf at Shaker Hills to raise money for Massachusetts DeMolay; the team had a great time and raised money for a great youth organization. We might not have been first but we had a lot of fun; Norfolk Lodge hopes to keep doing these types of events in the future as part of our push to have fun meaningful activities.

Norfolk Lodge met in person for our annual installation of officers for the 2021-2022 year.  This was our 148 installation of Officers. It was so good to welcome the Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts Richard Maggio to our installation, along with numerous brothers from the Lodge and from around the jurisdiction. We are looking forward to another great year of Masonry, fellowship, and good work.

In our first major event since the start of the Pandemic Norfolk Lodge hosted around 50 Masons and their families at Claxton Field in Needham for a wonderful BBQ and picnic.  Once again this year the rain held off until the festivities were over and the weather was perfect.  It was so great to see so many people come out and spend some time in the sun with friends and family.

Norfolk Lodge's Annual Christmas Tree Sale is up and running; even during the misted of a global pandemic we have seen many of our old customers as well as many new customers visit us to buy their Christmas Trees.  In fact it has been one of our busiest years in recent memory.  We would like to thank all of the people who have come out to support Norfolk Lodge.  

But, this season is about giving back as much as it is about presents and trees.  So, as is tradition, Norfolk Lodge has partnered with the Needham Community Council to help Needham residents in this holiday season.  Norfolk Lodge donated 20 Christmas Trees to the Needham Community Council for them to distribute to families who might not otherwise be able to have a Christmas Tree. 

This past Saturday the Brothers of Norfolk Lodge once again assembled to do some work around the building and prepare for our Annual Christmas Tree Sale.  The Brothers of Norfolk Lodge were busy setting up our Christmas tree lot for 2020. We have already received our first shipment of Trees from Crawford Tree Farm in Canada. 

This year we will be open from 9:00am on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and we look forward to serving families in Needham & Newton for our 47th year.  For more information and hours please check out the Christmas Tree Section of our website.  We look forward to greeting our old and new customers alike.  

Even in this time of COVID Norfolk Lodge has found ways to get together in a responsible way and do good work.  This past Saturday several of the Brothers from Norfolk Lodge and the Fifth Masonic District assembled at the Needham Masonic Building to do some clean up around the building. It was a great day, perfect weather and everyone involved had a lot of fun while getting some much needed work done.

A masked, enjoyable, and productive morning working on landscaping at Norfolk Lodge, followed by a delicious, bagged, barbeque lunch from Razzy's. The District Deputy Grand Master of the 5th Masonic District even dropped by to show us how it's done.
